- Examine select phyla from the animal kingdom. Compare and contrast the characteristics that distinguish them.
- Review the current phylogeny of animals.
Skill Objectives
- Draw and label various examples from the animal phyla, using prepared slides, wet mounts, and/or preserved specimens.
- Dissect and identify crayfish (Phylum Arthropoda) internal and external anatomy.
- Be able to identify chordates based on their 4 key characteristics.
