Preparation
- 2 test tubes with sterile TSB per group
Materials
- 2 test tubes with sterile TSB per group
- test tube rack (1 per group)
- Bunsen burner (1 per group)
- inoculating loop (1 per group)
- labeling tape
- marker
After Lab Class
- Incubate test tubes of (hopefully still) sterile TSB at 37°C until the next lab class.
- Next lab class have students examine test tubes for growth and discuss possible sources of contamination (particularly for groups that had TSB showing growth).
