Organisms of the same species that live in a defined area are called populations. Population size, growth, reproduction, and regulation all characterize the populations of species that wildlife biologists study. In fact, a solid understanding of these parameters is critical for managing any wildlife species.
- 5.2: Population Growth Patterns
- Populations exhibit two kinds of basic population growth - exponential growth, and logistic growth. (Concepts of Biology)
