Introduces students to the basic concepts of plant biology and a survey of major groups of plants and plant-like organisms. This course expands on many of the biological concepts introduced in BIOL 101 - General Biology I, as it includes plant physiology, comparative anatomy and plant classification. Plant reproduction and other major botanical concepts are emphasized through the study of local flora, laboratory exercises and lectures.
