An introduction to the principles behind and practice of bioinformatics: the science of interpreting and analyzing biological information. This course covers concepts behind genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomics analysis, as well as data processing and visualization. This course also provides an introduction to the R programming language and the unix shell as well as a variety of commonly-used bioinformatics software packages.
