A piece of DNA including the sequence 5' TCAG 3' is exposed to a mutagen. For each mutagen, give the resulting sequence after two rounds of DNA replication.
- Example Nitrous Oxide (deaminates C creating U) After two rounds of DNA replication, the sequence will become 5' TTAG 3'.
- 5-bromouracil incorporated during replication for T, but base pairs with G.
- Acridine orange interacalates between bases.
- Ethane methyl sulfonate (EMS) adds ethyl group to G, which base pairs with T.
