    A piece of DNA including the sequence 5' TCAG 3' is exposed to a mutagen. For each mutagen, give the resulting sequence after two rounds of DNA replication.

    • Example Nitrous Oxide (deaminates C creating U) After two rounds of DNA replication, the sequence will become 5' TTAG 3'.
    1. 5-bromouracil incorporated during replication for T, but base pairs with G.
    2. Acridine orange interacalates between bases.
    3. Ethane methyl sulfonate (EMS) adds ethyl group to G, which base pairs with T.
