    Marks and Hochman Adler started developing their OER lab manual for Introduction to Biology when they became frustrated with the paid options and wanted equitable options for their students. Both Marks and Hochman Adler are trailblazers in their field when it comes to accessibility for their students. This lab manual was created in two years with end user testing with students to find what worked and didn't work. This final product is for the students.

    Thumbnail: Chameleon skin. The picture depicts the minute pores with a diameter about 200 nanometers which are in each "segment" of the skin dumped by a chameleon. It should be noted that color of a chameleon doesn't coincide with a surrounding background, and depends on an emotional condition of an animal. If such coincidence turns out, it is mere chance. The chameleon changes coloring at a fright, after a fight with other chameleon when it is taken on hands or at a meeting of an individual of an opposite sex.
