Arteries of the Lower Limb
The external iliac arteries (right and left) carry blood to the other arteries of the lower limbs. Similar to the upper limbs, the arteries of the lower limbs are named for landmarks where they are found and the regions they serve including the femoral arteries, popliteal arteries, anterior and posterior tibial arteries, fibular arteries, dorsal arches of the foot and plantar arches of the foot.
