    WHY?

    Closed-toe and

    closed-heel shoes

Safe shoes prevent cuts, contamination from spills, slipping, and protect from dropped items.

    No Food or Drink!

It’s too risky to take a chance with contamination! Keep all personal items off the lab bench too.

    Keep Hair Tied Back

    Fire!

    &

    Burns!

    Clean Spills Properly

Contamination will spread and that puts yourself and others at risk!

Keep Hands and other items away from face and mouth!

Eyes, nose and mouth are “portals of entry” for bacteria.

Always wash your hands before you leave the lab and after any contact with cultures.

    Use Common Sense!

    Think, ask, understand, THEN, do!
