In this section we have learned about the basics of epidemiology, both genetic and molecular. We have learned techniques of designing an epidemiological experiment and how and when to use genetic screens for identifying diseases. Lastly, we focused on resolving causality vs. correlation between epigenetic markers and diseases using genetics as an instrument variable.
